The sun is a child of the cosmos. Its origins
rest somewhere in the mysteries of the vastness of the universe. It
was born and it will die. It pulses and burns energy as it provides
abundance. So it is with us. So it is with our children.
Today,
when you see, feel, or think about the sun, imagine yourself a sun.
You release heat. You pulse and churn. You grow hot and
you cool down. And you provide for your child.
The sun
pulses and churns and changes and grows and fades, amid tremendous
eruptions of gases and other matter. And it does it
all in peace and in flow with the universe.
As you interact
with your child today, remember that you are not only your child's
caregiver, not only a human being with your own issues to contend
with, but that you are also a sun.
With awareness, provide your child with light and warmth. Sense the warmth and light as it emanates from within you.
